The Pandemic and our need for a creative outlet led us to explore our love for woodworking and share homemade gifts.
We were at home doing our 6-3 (not 9-5) jobs when COVID-19 hit. Our youngest daughter went off to college and we had no place to go. We love the outdoors but also love being creative. We decided like we do every year, to make our Christmas gifts for the family. We decided to try something that we both grew up loving and fortunately we had the equipment to make our idea come to life. We decided to buy some beautiful hardwood and make Pizza Rockers (Cutters) and Wooden Knives for 9our family. We loved creating the templates and then taking the time to cut and sand and glue together the knives and rockers.
We then said “we need a logo that is just ours” so we used the initials of our first name and last James & Echo Cooksey - We were encouraged by our family to create a shop and sell our wood products. Since then, we have been commissioned by family and friends to create Chess Boards, Tables, Lazy Susan, Cutting Boards, and Charcutier Trays. When we select the wood for the projects we make, we look for interesting grains and holes that enhance the unique projects we create for our customers.

Wooden Knives used for cutting bread and soft cheeses and certain vegetables and fruit- great for kids to use
Cutting Board made from shapes and sizes of various hardwoods and finished with food safe oil and wax
Above is a large tall work desk that is being used by a local fashion designer with a need for a 5ft x 5ft table that was 48 inches tall
A College student asked for a unique desk that was needed for a studio apartment - with no furniture -that they also used as a small dinning table
The top of the table was electrified and then filled with pearl resin with a clear resin over the top for a smooth working surface
